Modern technology has totally changed the dynamics of life in every area – social, emotional, interpersonal, professional etc. There is an enormous pressure of expectations from all quarters, and people seem to be living life in the fast-lane, beset by pressures from all sides, with practically no work-life balance, leading to unhappiness, insecurity, anxiety and discontentment.
Srila Prabhupada, the Founder Acharya of the Hare Krishna Movement, had the steadfast vision of spreading the message of the Bhagavad-Gita, to bring about physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of all sections of society.
Following in his revered footsteps, we at Hare Krishna Movement (HKM), Mumbai, conduct various spiritual, educational and cultural programs. Our mission is to reach out to people in all sections of society, to help them live a balanced, fulfilling and progressive life – one that is full of happiness, good health, grace and peace – through the sublime teachings of the Bhagavad-Gita.
We are also part of ISKCON Bangalore which runs the world famous Akshaya Patra mid-day meal programme. It provides wholesome lunch to 18 lakh children in schools across 12 states every day, and has received accolades from national and international bodies. The Chairman of the Akshaya Patra Foundation, Sriman Madhu Pandit Dasa is also one of the Trustee of Hare Krishna Movement.
He was recently honoured by the Govt. of India with the Padmashree award.
